Bio & Personal Profile

Specialising in wedding and portrait photography, Sandra Ford is a full time professional photographer and a qualified licentiate member of the MPA and the SWPP.

Sandra’s grounding in photography came through the camera club circuit in the late 70s / early 80s. Her competition entries received acclaim from the judges, lecturers and speakers at the seminars she attended, a number of lecturers actively encouraged her to take up photography as a career.

In the early 1980s Sandra opened her first high street premises in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The studio was successful and relocated to larger premises just 12 months later. In 1985 Sandra married and moved to Scotland a year later leaving the studio. After a considerable time away, she came back to the profession in 2004 when she returned home to the UK after spending seven years in South Africa.

She approaches her work with enthusiasm and care, and feels very privileged to have been able to pick up once again on a career that she is so passionate about. The developments within the industry in the intervening years and the technology now available have only served to heighten her enthusiasm and creativity.


Sandra uses Canon digital cameras and personally manages every step of the production process from image capture to album production, ensuring the highest quality and consistency throughout.
